KATANA Safety (KATANA) – the premier provider of lone and workforce personal safety solutions for workers in the home health, hospice, and social services industries, has announced the hiring of two senior executives to lead the company’s sales, marketing, and customer experience initiatives.  Home health veteran Morgan Kircher has been named KATANA’s Chief Development Officer, and Bobby McLain has been named the company’s Chief Experience Officer.

KATANA helps keep home health, hospice, and social services workers safer with its personal safety solution that leverages the accessibility of a smartphone and a patented quick-trigger device to instantly call for help. Workers can choose an audible or inaudible alert that automatically bypasses the phone’s lock screen, activating GPS tracking and an emergency alert system via a direct link to a 24/7 call center. Home health and DSS workers can call for help instantly in unexpected and dangerous situations, creating a safer work environment.  Additionally, KATANA’s Walk with Me™ feature immediately connects users to a certified response professional who can track their GPS location before they embark on a journey, or, if the user senses potential danger, continue with them until they arrive at their destination. KATANA’s innovative technology also contributes to an organization’s bottom line. By partnering with KATANA Safety, home health, social services, and other companies can also mitigate organizational risk, see improvements in employee morale and peace of mind, and, ultimately, improve worker retention rates.

Morgan Kircher joins KATANA as Chief Development Officer, where she will oversee the company’s aggressive rollout of its personal safety solution for the home health and hospice industries.

Kircher is a 15-year veteran of Homecare Homebase, a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for home-based care agencies, where she was instrumental in a variety of company initiatives including customer development, sales, sales operations, and partner programs. Said Todd Baldree, KATANA’s founder and CEO, “The addition of Morgan to our leadership team shows KATANA’s deep commitment to the post-acute space.  Morgan is an industry pro who knows this market keenly. She cares deeply about home health and hospice patients, and is passionate about bringing a higher level of safety and peace of mind to home health providers.”

Bobby McLain joins KATANA as its Chief Experience Officer, and is responsible for the company’s marketing and customer experience strategies, as well as its business development efforts for state Department of Social Services agencies nationwide.

Prior to joining KATANA, McLain was responsible for global marketing, corporate communications, and business development for ScanSource (NASDAQ: SCSC), joining the company early in its startup phase and helping achieve a $3B/year annual revenue run rate during his 18-year career.  Since leaving ScanSource McLain has created strategic marketing and business development roadmaps for multiple companies as a consultant. Said Baldree, “Bobby has deep experience developing successful sales and marketing strategies in the start-up SMB space as well as for enterprise level companies.  He was instrumental in ScanSource becoming a leading international technology solutions provider, helping the company expand into 17 countries across Europe and Latin America.”

Baldree continued, “We are looking forward to continuing to help create safer work environments for the incredible people who devote their lives to serving others.  Our motto at KATANA is ‘We’ve Got Your Back’, because our company mission is to not only help protect home health, hospice, and social services workers, but to create an environment that allows them to feel confident, connected, and in control, no matter where they are.”
